white collar, blue collar, i dont want a fucking collar! you win some, you lose some, i dont even want to play the fucking game!

"deal with what you have and what you'll have left, because there's no such thing as a fresh start"

Far left and extreme left are terms used to discuss the position a group or person occupies within the political spectrum. The terms far left and far right are often used to imply that someone is an extremist.

Some groups considered to be far left do not wish to govern within the current institutional framework and this may be what distinguishes them from other left-leaning groups. In several countries, the term far left has been associated with ideologies such as communism, socialism, most factions of anarchism, Marxism-Leninism, Trotskyism, Maoism, and some branches of feminism and green politics/environmentalism.

Do they owe us a living? Course they fuckin' do!

Mussolini described fascism as the merger of state and corporate powers. This is often confused with communism, which is when the state controls monopolies. Fascism, in a finely wrapped summary package is the merger of corporate and government powers or state-controlled capitalism.

We the American people have been slowly fed baby bites of this system.

AIG became so powerful, it was too big to fail as were Mortgage companies Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Banks were too big to fail and so were auto companies. And now we are bailing out the people that make the auto parts. That would be...hmmm....the merger of state and government?

“But I venture the challenging statement that if American democracy ceases to move forward as a living force, seeking day and night by peaceful means to better the lot of our citizens, then Fascism and Communism, aided, unconsciously perhaps, by old-line Tory Republicanism, will grow in strength in our land.” -Franklin D. Roosevelt, November 4, 1938

Democracy requires people to take action. And I think we all know, nobody aint doin shit about nothing. We have all accepted that we have been screwed by the government. And we retaliate with "whatever" Not to touch too much on conspiracy theories. But a large amount of people in America believe that 911 was an inside job, and yet there has been no action done.

Fascist regimes seem to share similar characteristics, below I will list 14 big ones.

1.) Powerful and Continuing Nationalism - Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.

"Be all that you can be"

2.) Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights: Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of "need." The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners.

Blackwater Assassinations
Abu Ghraib / Guantanamo Bay
The Patriot Act
G-20 summit protests

3.) Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause: The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: racial, ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc

GOD DAMN TOWELHEADS!

4.) Supremacy of the Military: Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized.

Just a couple things...Bush cut for defenses and Iraq war based spending; schooling, health insurance, children's insurance programs, national parks and staff, health research, job training, rural health care, low-income schools, domestic programs. ETC!

5.) Rampant Sexism: The governments of fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Opposition to abortion is high, as is homophobia and anti-gay legislation and national policy. These are lucid examples. But I'm sure you can figure enough out on your own.

During Bush's presidency, it became, once again, legal to fire government workers for being gay. Bush called for Constitutional ban on same-sex marriages. Bush refused to sign UN proposal on women's "sexual rights". W. David Hager chairman of the FDA's Reproductive Health Drugs Advisory Committee stated he did not prescribe contraceptives for single women, does not do abortions, will not prescribe RU-486 and will not insert IUDs.

6.) Controlled Mass Media: Sometimes the media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common.

In the last six years, the US seized webservers from independent media sites, US editors were forbidden to publish certain foreign writers and the FBI used journalists phone records against them in court to accuse them of terrorism.

7.) Obsession with National Security: Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses

The Bush administration rotated the USA on high alert for terrorist attacks for years, despite the fact that the Homeland Security chief Tom Ridge argued there was too little evidence to push the threat level up.

8.) Religion and Government are Intertwined: Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government's policies or actions.

Baby Jesus loves America, especially Texas.

9.) Corporate Power is Protected: The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.

Bush abused his power and issued a signed statement to avoid "commission to probe contracting fraud in Iraq and Afghanistan" 4,000 Mine Safety Violations were ignored On Bush Administration Watch GAO report: The White House “pressured the Environmental Protection Agency to weaken requirements that companies annually disclose releases of toxic chemicals"The K Street Project is a project by the Republican party to pressure Washington lobbying firms to hire Republicans in top positions, and to reward loyal GOP lobbyists with access to influential officials. It was launched in 1995, by Republican strategist Grover Norquist and House majority leader Tom DeLay. American Conservative Magazine: One U.S. contractor received $2 million in a duffel bag... and a U.S. official was given $7 million in cash in the waning days of the CPA and told to spend it “before the Iraqis take over.” There are 6 Congressional Committees investigating the Oil-for-Food (UN) scandal, yet not a single Republican Committee Chairman will call a hearing to investigate the whereabouts of 9 billion dollars missing in Iraq Bush money network rooted in Florida, Texas: Since Mr. Bush took office in 2001, the federal government has awarded more than $3 billion in contracts to the President's elite 2004 Texas fund-raisers, their businesses, and lobbying clients

10.) Labor Power is Suppressed: Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed. President Bush Attacks Organized Labor issuing orders effectively reducing how much money unions can spend for political activities and opening up government contracts to non-union bidding.

March 2001: President Bush signed his name to four executive orders on organized labor last month, including one that cuts the money unions will have for political campaign spending. Congress and the Department of Labor changed the rules on overtime pay, eliminating the 40 hour work week, taking eligibility for overtime pay away from millions of workers, and replacing time and a half pay with comp or furlough days. I have to do 13 furlough days this year and got a 8 percent pay cut.

11.) Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts: Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts is openly attacked, and governments often refuse to fund the arts.

Bush's new economic plan cut funding for arts and education.Artists from all over the world are being refused entry to the US on security grounds. A group of more than 60 top U.S. scientists, including 20 Nobel laureates and several science advisers to past Republican presidents, accused the Bush administration of manipulating and censoring science for political purposes.A new ruling allowed censorship of campus publications

12.) Obsession with Crime and Punishment: Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even fore go civil liberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations
The Military Commissions Act of 2006Abuse of Jose PadillaGuantanamo BayAttempt to Get Death Penalty for Zacarias Moussaoui2006: The United States has now become the world leader in its rate of incarceration, locking up its citizens at 5-8 times the rate of other industrialized nations.

13.) Rampant Cronyism and Corruption: Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders.

Enough said...

14. Fraudulent Elections: Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections.

Yeah...some of my examples are lucid and can be interpreted differently. I also didnt feel the need to leave certain examples because I feel you already know whats up. I'm only reading words that have already been written.

What saddens me most...In the sixties we were so close to a revolution, there were so many people coming together to fight the system. And they failed...is it ever going to be possible to start a civil war, are the people of today capable of uniting to save their country. Anyway it's hypocritical of me to go, Bush this, Bush that, I'm sick of everyone else doing that. Bush is no more responsible for anything that goes down than Obama is. They are figureheads, public icons, just patsies, it aint't their fault.

In the mean time, I'm with the rest of America, "whatever..."

here's a spoonful of stuff i wrote a long time ago

A Skydive by Surprise ©

There are humbles and there are workers.
But we are neither yet, the waves crash as we ride, growing and adapting to these lives.
The waves crash, and we charge, we charge like the waves we are.
Sunglasses and sandals, grains of sand pinching between her toes.
Right when I felt it was time to chip the egg, the calf is separated from its mother for the drunkard’s gut.
Pull through and glide and grind, join me in these series of dance routines.
Pull over and let your ballet slippers play their part, a desert gas station parking lot.
A pavement dance floor, and we twist and shout.
Times pass and I find myself anticipating passing, booze filled and aching for her presence.
Kills me to think it’s become equally as physical as it is mental, this addiction, and her supply has gone dry.
Nothing more I could long for than you, my drug, my scapegoat, my desert hideaway.
Airborne, capriciously aborted from my biplane, it’s all up to this chute now.
Lucky or maybe not, this life has sewn it tight and I must have faith.

Is this it? Sewn together by a roof ©

A couple of drunks with no connection, he said it himself.
Clearly empty of love and affection, a relationship turned elastic.
Stretched from one shape to four, completely plastic.
Can’t take much more, surprised how long it lasted.
It’s been dragged to the point of exposure and lost all its humor.
Being the normal loomer, thrashing through and ignoring shit,
But when put in front of the hound’s jaws, you’re bound to get bit.
With this brick pressed against our face, we finally realize the tundra of space,
Shoveled between us, we didn’t mean for this,
But its been out of order and lost its warranty,
After years of building up trash, the dump truck arrives.

Worthy words from a wise man: Allen Ginsberg
